Rwandans in Morocco, including students, engaged with the Rwandan embassy in the country as part of a program aimed at communicating with Rwandans worldwide to gather their perspectives on nation-building.

Ambassador Shakillah MUTONI stated, "The diaspora in Morocco, like many others, is largely composed of students. They come here and establish their families in Rwanda; they are children we have to pay attention to… We engage with them in various national programs. Currently, we are commemorating with them. But we will have other programs in the future."

She added, "You should know that we are also preparing for elections scheduled for next month. These children will be the ones voting because they are Rwandans residing here. Therefore, we want to know their needs, they were on the voter lists. So when we met them, we discussed all these programs."

Mrs Solange UMWIZERWA said, "We met with the Ambassador and other Rwandans, and we discussed a lot, including the progress Rwanda has made. It's not often that we get to know the current situation in Rwanda, but now we appreciate and are very grateful."

Another student, Mrs Nivelle MAHORO revealed this "There is something they mentioned here that is very helpful. They talked about how sometimes even if you are qualified for a certain position, your credibility is undermined by your behavior. So, it's very important because when you say you are a Rwandan, the first thing they ask you about is Paul Kagame. It shows that we have made an impression on the international stage, and our goal is to maintain it."

She further added also learned how we can start businesses, focusing on Rwanda's progress."
