Rwamagana: Genocide survivor Mrs. Nyiramudahinga was presented with a built house

An old woman named Mrs. Nyiramudahinga Mariya who survived the Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994, who lives in Munyaga sector was presented with a built house worth 10 million Rwandan francs.

To commemorate the 30th Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994 and to rebuild with the cooperation of the Rwamagana District administration and the Rwandan Association of Cooperatives on April 17, they presented a house and furniture the 79-year-old woman who survived the Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994 lives in the village of Gatare, Akagar ka Rweru in Murenge Munyaga.
Mrs. Nyiramudahinga is one of the beneficiaries of Ingoboka, who confirms that she knows the violence and persecution of the Tutsis very well and has lived there since 1959.
Her husband was killed with a stick by the so-called thugs of democracy, until the Genocide against the Tutsis in 1994 when her three children and her grandchildren were killed as well as those she was raising.
This lady Nyiramudahinga lives with her daughter, she says that before she was still able to defend herself, she built a house where she lived until it was destroyed.
“I am very happy,” he said when she was presented with the house.
The Association of Cooperatives is the one that built this house, in their annual plan they allocate one of the survivors and build a house for them and it also includes equipment as confirmed by Mrs. Umurisa Jeannette who is the head of the Association of Cooperatives.
She continued: "Like other Rwandans, we must participate in the reconstruction of Rwandans."
The Deputy Mayor of Rwamagana District in charge of economic development, Mr. Kagabo Rwamunono Richard says that such an action is excellent because this lady was already on the list of those who should be received.
He continued: "Those who need help are much more than what we have in the budget, we are grateful that this Rwandan cooperative society has supported us."
