In an interview with our source Mrs. Eliane Namahoro,a secondary school teacher said“REB has given computers to various institutions Kayonza district among others, however there are many institutions that still do not have access to computers and internet, we request that even schools in rural areas be given computers so that we don’t lag behind ."

Mrs. Angelique Nyiransabimana, also a teacher, added “having computers would help a lot in improving the students’ skills to acquire more knowledge.”

Mr. Harerimana Jean Damascene, the executive secretary in charge of social affairs in Kayonza District, said that some teachers can buy their own computers.

"For those who have not yet received computer, we know that it is a program that the Ministry of Education has put in efforts to help teachers do their work, so it is an ongoing program, however those who have resources should by their own computers as it’s not only for teaching purposes but also other benefits."

The Ministry of Education through REB, envisages that by the year 2025 every teacher will have a computer. The program is expected to enhance the use of technology and innovation in education and all institutions will have the Internet.
