Greek police on Wednesday fired tear gas at firebomb-throwing protesters outside parliament in Athens during a large demonstration to protest last week's deadly train crash, an AFP reporter said.

Dozens of masked, black-clad youths hurled Molotov cocktails and stones at riot police outside the building as more than 40,000 people demonstrated in the Greek capital over the accident on February 28 that killed 57 people.
