This was reiterated during the international forum held in CONGO BRAZZAVILLE which brought different women from various countries since 31st July at grand hotel de Kintele. During discussions emphasis was centered on developing Africa based on what is produced on the continent, however, it was revealed that there is a gap, and lack of added value especially for agricultural products, animal breeding, and others.
In addition, the fact that there are still few industries in Africa affects the quantity of exports, where it has been realized it’s still not sufficient.
However, women who attended the forum, say that women are the power that the African continent has today, so if they invest more in agriculture and increase the value of the produce, it would have a positive impact on the development of Africa.
Across the world, women involved in agriculture and animal breeding constitute a bigger number than men, but they produce only food for home consumption only.
Nevertheless, they have been encouraged to work with the aim of exporting their products to the international market and producing what can be used for competition on the world market.
The Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises in Congo Brazzaville says that when women come together to support each other, it will significantly lead to the development of the African continent and that is very promising.
She said that at this time, women are the strength that Africa has and has never been used much. She insists that when this power is increased by men, it will develop the African continent.
This forum which is underway in Congo Brazzaville capital has been attended by women from this continent including 9 Rwandan women entrepreneurs and will attend an exhibition of various activities so that they also exhibit the products from Rwanda.
Apart from the women who participated in this conference which was organized as part of the celebration of African Women's Day, there were also those who came with men because a woman cannot progress without the support of her husband or her brother.

The meeting was officially launched by the first lady of Congo Brazzaville, Madame Antoinette Sassou-Nguesso, and will end on August 5 (08) 2023.
This meeting was attended by 9 Rwandan women who are committed to work and will participate in the exhibition of various activities to show what is produced in Rwanda.
