Kirehe District Deputy Mayor Nzirabatinya Modeste said that they would put effort into solving the problem of water shortage in the city of the district and in other parts of the district. The electricity that will raise the water in the Kahene market will help to raise the water in the city of Nyakarambi and its suburbs because the existing ones are using diesel fuel and the water is sometimes running out.

He said, "We have the Kahene market that had a problem. The local pumps were not able to raise the water, but as a district, we have found a contractor, we assure the people that within two months it will be resolved so that they will have water permanently."

This method will complement the existing plans to provide clean water to the people, especially since Kirehe District is currently at 72% of those who have access to clean water, but they are looking for 100%.
