The same ideology appeared in Ngoma District during the 30th commemoration week of the Genocide against the Tutsis, where a 20-year-old boy said that the Genocide happened when he was alive when he had cut the necks of 40 Tutsis.

The Mayor of Ngoma District, Madam Niyonagira Nathalie, says that during the commemoration week that ended on the 13th, they were the same people who were exposed to the ideology of Genocide.

She said: "There was one person who was exposed to the ideology of Genocide, and he admitted that he is being monitored by the authorities because we have taught the people about the programs of unity, reconciliation, integrity, and Ndi Umunyarwanda, so to hear someone who continues to bring the ideology of Genocide, laws are there and it has to do its job.”

Mayor Madam Niyonagira continues to say that the perpetrators of the Genocide ideology are the youth, he should also ask others not to join the Genocide ideology but rather strive to be one because that is what will make them end it completely.

She said, “That man is of the age of youth; I want to remind the youth that the ideology of Genocide must be rejected, we must not allow those who deceive us or falsify history, but we must fight for unity because our country is in the hands of our youth, the future of the country is in their hands."

Some of the youths said that they must denounce those who deny and belittle the Genocide committed against the Tutsis in 1994 so that it will not happen again and play a role in building the country.

Miss Muhawenimana Betty said, “Some of the parents are the ones who deceive their children saying that he is the one who locked up your father or the perpetrator of the Genocide and found that he was released but the ideology of the Genocide did not include him; So, as young people, we must tell the truth to those parents that they are lying to us because there is real history that proves it."

Muhire Claude from the Murama Sector, says that no one will destroy the country because its strength lies with the youth.

He said, "We are determined that the Genocide will not happen again and we will continue to fight against those who deny that it happened, fight against the ideology from where it comes because now we are one, our unity is what distinguishes us."

The administration of Ngoma District says that in commemorating the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis, they will continue to encourage young people to continue to fight against its ideology wherever it comes from.
